Palm Bay is the far-east end of Margate CT9, running from Northern Belle down to the North Foreland golf course boundary. The stock is mostly post-war semi and detached, with some interwar villas along the coastal roads. Many of the properties back directly onto the coast path or the clifftop - full salt exposure, plus wind loading from the North Sea gales that come straight in unbroken.
Every seafront and coast-facing property in Palm Bay gets full AF3 marine spec as standard on my quotes. That means: IP65 gasketed CU enclosure, marine-grade tails, stainless-face RCBOs where the module supports it, stainless external sockets (Wandsworth or MK Masterseal Plus), IP66 external isolators, and marine cable glands throughout. It adds about 8-12% to the parts bill and doubles or triples the service life against standard indoor-grade external kit.

If you're considering solar in Palm Bay, the wind-loading calculation matters - the North Sea storms that come in over the golf course hit clifftop roofs at 100mph+ in serious weather. BS EN 1991-1-4 calc drives extra roof-fixings and edge margins. It's not a barrier, it just needs the right spec. Rear-facing (south-west) slopes are the good option; north-east clifftop faces don't generate enough to justify the wind-load spec.
