When you email, WhatsApp or call to request a quote, we collect the information you send us: name, contact details, address/postcode and any photos or job description you supply. We use this only to prepare a quote and to carry out the work if you accept.
We count visits to this site, for statistics only, using our own counting tool. It sets no cookies and does not store your IP address. For each page view it records the page, the site you came from, any campaign label in the link you used, your country (approximate) and whether the visitor looks like a person or a robot. To count unique visitors it uses an identifier. We do not share this data with anyone except our hosting provider, which stores it on our behalf. We respect Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. If you click 'Don't count my visits' in the footer, we remember your choice in this browser with one small local-storage flag called na_ignore; our counter stores nothing else in your browser. You can object at any time using the link in the footer, or contact us at hello@margateelectrical.co.uk. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in understanding and improving our site.
Quote and job records are held in encrypted business systems for 6 years to meet HMRC record-keeping requirements. We keep a record of enquiries, chats and our dealings with you. If you would like your own record deleted, contact us at hello@margateelectrical.co.uk and we will do it.
You have the right to request a copy of data we hold about you, correct inaccurate data, or request deletion (subject to our HMRC retention obligation). Contact hello@margateelectrical.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing. We share data with sub-contractors only where necessary to complete your job. We share data with HMRC where required by law.
