When you email, WhatsApp or call to request a quote, we collect the information you send us: name, contact details, address/postcode and any photos or job description you supply. We use this only to prepare a quote and to carry out the work if you accept.
This website uses Google Analytics 4 (property G-FKC75H0TVS) to measure page views, geography (city-level, not precise), and user journeys. GA4 is configured to respect Do Not Track signals and Google Consent Mode. No personally identifying information is captured through analytics.
Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (_ga, _ga_[ID]) to distinguish users. No advertising cookies. No third-party cookies. You can block these in your browser without affecting the site.
Quote and job records are held in encrypted business systems for 6 years to meet HMRC record-keeping requirements. Photos supplied for quotes are deleted 30 days after the quote is declined or the job is completed, unless retained as job documentation with your permission.
You have the right to request a copy of data we hold about you, correct inaccurate data, or request deletion (subject to our HMRC retention obligation). Contact hello@margateelectrical.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing. We share data with sub-contractors only where necessary to complete your job (e.g. when submitting Part P notification through a competent-person scheme). We share data with HMRC where required by law.
